The position will be assigned to the Eastern Regional Center (ERC) at the Zebulon location.
The ERC is a facility that brings an array of services to the eastern portions of Wake County.
The Center represents a regional service delivery model implemented throughout Wake County.
Services from various Wake County departments (Health and Human Services, Community Services, Environmental Services, Sheriff's Department) and various facility-based partnerships engage the community through the ERC.
Essential Functions Include:
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the Center Monitor the flow of business and the exchange of information between customers and staff Strategize to improve business processes and the customer experience About Our Team Wake County Health and Human Services (WCHHS) is the consolidation of programs and services that include social services, public health, job search assistance, child support, and transportation.
Our mission, in partnership with the community, is to facilitate full access to high-quality and effective health and human services for Wake County residents.
In addition to our numerous standard programs, Wake County Health and Human Services (WCHHS) is engaged in a number of special initiatives that are impacting services and programs throughout our entire agency.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) Bachelor's degree Three years of job-related experience Equivalent education and experience are accepted Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) Bachelor's degree Three years of job-related experience Equivalent education and experience are accepted How Will We Know You're 'The One'? Strong business skills including process improvement and the use of technology to improve access and efficiency Experience in Facility Management - ensuring safe and efficient operations of a facility to achieve a mission Experience in building partnerships and being collaborative across different programs, groups and or departments that might have widely varied needs Experience in developing budgets, managing expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability One or more years of experience providing staff supervision Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals Ability to build strategic relationships between work units, divisions, departments, and other groups (both internal and external) Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by listening to the customer and understanding and responding to identified needs Ability to convey information orally and in writing to individuals or groups to ensure they understand the message Ability to allocate resources, plan procurement, and oversee budgets and contracts to ensure fiscal stability of the organization Skill and ability in coordinating, facilitating, and participating in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments Ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve the issues Knowledge of effective safety and health management policies and procedures Ability to establish a culture of safety for employees and to ensure that security concerns are responded to effectively About This Position Location:
