Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kennel facility and staff - Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all animals in the kennel - Coordinate and schedule animal care tasks, including feeding, exercise, and medication administration - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennel areas - Monitor and report any changes in animal behavior or health to veterinary staff - Assist with grooming and bathing of animals as needed - Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, answering questions and addressing concerns Skills:
- Animal handling:
Experience in safely handling a variety of animals, including dogs and cats - Heavy lifting:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as bags of pet food or crates - Dog handling:
Proficiency in managing dogs of different sizes and temperaments - Veterinary technician:
Knowledge of basic veterinary procedures and medical terminology - Pet care:
Understanding of proper nutrition, exercise, grooming, and overall care for pets - Veterinary knowledge:
Familiarity with common health issues, vaccinations, and preventive care for animals - Kennel management:
Ability to oversee daily operations, including scheduling and staff supervision - Customer service:
Strong interpersonal skills to provide exceptional service to pet owners - Animal care:
Passion for the well-being and welfare of animals - Pet grooming:
Experience in basic grooming tasks such as brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning We are seeking a highly organized individual with a passion for animal care to join our team as a Kennel Manager.
This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
