Assists the CNC Lead with overseeing the machine operators in the CNC area.
Responsible for assisting with set-ups and change overs of machines in area.
Ensure machine operators are working efficiently and assist when needed.
Troubleshoot issues with the CNC Lead that may come up with the CNC machines.
Shift Hours:
Mon-Thurs 3pm-1:
30am, Optional OT on Fri 12pm-4pm Duties and
Responsibilities:
Works with the CNC team in completing the correct customer orders in a safe and correct manner according to the production schedule Explains and demonstrates machine operation and inspection procedures to new employees Operates CNC machines when short-staffed and during break periods Helps set up and adjust set up of machines and equipment used to trim parts, according to blueprint specifications Communicates with the CNC Lead to ensure proper setup and operation of machines Perform basic preventative maintenance and learns very basic programming to troubleshoot issues occurring with the CNC machines Assists and answers questions from the CNC team Follows work instructions; ensures machine operators are following work instructions for completing the required job Loads and unloads material from machine Inspects products for defects and conformance to customer specifications Keeps work area neat and organized Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations Other duties may be assigned as necessary Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Leads by example and motivates people so as to create a challenging, empowering and collaborative working environment Basic skills in reading, writing and arithmetic are necessary Must have an aptitude to train and coach other employees Ability to follow detailed work instructions Basic computer understanding Knowledge of machinery Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred Previous machine operations experience preferred Physical Demands:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to communicate and adhere to direction(s) from the CNC Lead.
The employee is required to use their hands to perform repetitive motions with the CNC machines.
The employee must be attentive to the quality and detail of the parts produced.
The employee is required to stand most of the shift and walk around from machine to machine.
The employee may occasionally need to lift moderate weights up to 35 lbs.
Work Environment:
The work setting of this manufacturing facility provides adequate lighting, noise levels will be moving between moderate to high noise levels.
Required Personal Protection Equipment includes Safety Glasses and Hearing Protection for any person in the production area.
Because of the nature of this business, the temperature in the production facility can be very hot during the hotter times of the year.
Employees are strongly encouraged to have water at their work area to stay hydrated during their work shift.
