Summary:
Responsible for maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and facilities.
Assists with set up and operation of production equipment as necessary.
Documents and records activities in a work order system.
Prioritizes tasks and actions based on input from production managers, operators, and other staff.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or process issues to determine likely root cause and work with operators, supervisors or managers to create an repair plan.
Make mechanical or electrical adjustments to equipment or processes.
Perform set-up and changeover on equipment or processes.
Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Record maintenance, problems, and repairs in physical documents or online system.
Clean work area to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma, associate's degree or higher preferred Field related technical education is acceptable Previous maintenance experience Previous manufacturing experience a plus Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and management in verbal, written, or e-mail form Maintenance, safety, or manufacturing certifications a plus Lean/Six Sigma Training or experience a plus Must have flexible work schedule Read, write, and perform math at a high school level or above Read blueprints, workflow diagrams, part drawings, and machinery schematics Physical Demands:
Use fingers, hands, and arms to lift, reach, move, and examine equipment.
Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch.
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to chemicals, moving mechanical parts, heat, and moderate noise.
Adhere to PPE guidelines for work.
